Our Restoration Sequence

Stain application. We apply the selected stain evenly in the direction of the grain, back-brushing to push product into end grain, joints, and cut edges. For solid-body stains on fences and pergolas we use two coats as standard.

Protective topcoat where appropriate. Some projects benefit from a clear protective topcoat for extra UV and moisture resistance. Others are better with a pure penetrating oil system that can be maintained easily in future.
